Ps5 all of a sudden won't read discs

    So I hadn't used the disc drive in 6 months more i'd say . Decided buy warhammer & Astro bot from smyths . No game or disc would work . Did the usual googling and it said put ps5 into safe mode clear cache & clear database or whatever . It worked Tuesday. Came home yesterday wouldn't read discs again … So into safe mode again did same thing and it started reading discs . Came home this eve and low and behold won't read again but this time going into safe mode and clearing cache etc doesn't work now ! Anyone ever encounter this !?

    I think the only option to try after that is a factory reset of the console, and if that don't work, probably needs a repair.

    Are you not waiting long enough after you shutdown the console before switching off power ?
