Veterinary nursing and different pathways

I would like to study Veterinary nursing. A lot of the courses are level 7 and the level 8s need very high points. I'm wondering would I be at much of a disadvantage only having a level 7 degree over a level 8? Or is there an add on I could do to bring it up to level 8? I'm just finding it hard to find out the information. Also, if I didn't get the points for either the level 7s or level 8s I know I can do a plc course to help me get in the following year. But if I do the plc and get a level 5 what other requirements along with that would I need to go into the degree courses? Do they look a the LC points with the level 5?
