Cheapest place to "park" a phone number with call forwarding

    Hi everyone

I have 2 local numbers with Blueface who are closing down shortly. These numbers point to their cloud PBX and forward to my Vodafone mobile. Pretty straightforward with no fancy routing plans. There's also a Blueface Poly deskphone which I use for outbound calling from time to time and the plan includes a considerable amount of minutes to landlines and mobiles.

I'm looking for suggestions for the best place I can transfer as least one of my local numbers to, where it can receive calls and most likely forward them out to my mobile as at present. I could go without the desk phone or call plans and all the other features. Granted, I don't want a huge bill for forwarding and I'd prefer the calls to come to my mobile natively as opposed to through a SIP app

Any recommendations for a cheap and cheerful VoIP host? I have the option of putting the local numbers back onto a PSTN line also if that's a better alternative?

    Thanks

    Did you get this sorted?

I have a number parked with Goldfish.ie for the past couple of years, all inbound calls are routed to a VOIP account.
There are few inward calls these days so it has never been stretched, but all functions well.

€5+VAT monthly fee …… no long term contracts.

I settled with voipcloud.online. No reason in particular only I found their pricing very transparent as in you add-on and only pay for the features you need. I have factory flashed one of my Blueface Poly desk phones and hooked it up to their system with no complaints and out of hours or unanswered diverts to mobile. I've unlimited IE/UK landline and mobile calling for a tenner a month or something like that. Their call flow configurator wouldn't be as slick as Blueface but it's good when you get the hang of it

I've used Goldfish many times over the years and while I liked their service and their support was excellent, their call plans - particularly with mobile minutes - were much more expensive than their competitors. This still seems to be the case

Yes I find their (Goldfish) rates prohibitive so I use an alternate provider for calling out.

I only have need for Irish landline and mobile calls and these days very limited numbers of calls.

I set up the telephony accounts in my router, and include a couple of free VOIP accounts so friends can call me (international) without charge.
