How does SUP surfing compare to traditional surfing in terms of technique and experience?

    Hey fellow wave riders!
    As a surfer who's recently discovered the joys of SUP boarding and kayak fishing, I'm curious if any other surfers here have ventured into these related water sports. I've found that these activities offer a great way to enjoy the water when the surf's not up.
    Has anyone else here tried paddling sports as a complement to surfing?
    Also, any recommendations for great spots around Ireland that are good for both surfing and these other water sports?
    Looking forward to hearing about your experiences mixing up your water adventures!
