    Hi Folks,

I guess the first thing is, would the TTAP Swivel Table Top stand be suitable for the Sony XR55A95LU? And what would be the best price for both the TV and the stand delivered to me in Dublin?

    Many thanks.

    Hi 3rdDegree.

    Many thanks for the post.

The Sony 55A95LU is the superior television compared to the Samsung. Sound quality from the Sony is also miles better with the tech Sony use for their audio.

The TTAP swivel stand will fit both the Sony and Samsung.

Current pricing would be as follows:
Sony 55A95LU is on a VIP price of £2069 / €2599. The sterling is the better deal on this. (Comes with our VIP 6 year guarantee included free of charge).
The TTAP swivel stand is coming in at £59 / €79
Total would be £2128 / €2678 delivered. (Sterling is the better deal).

For the Samsung 55S95C is the older 2023 model and priced at £1299 / €1549. Again comes with our VIP 6 year guarantee included free of charge.
Total with the TTAP would be £1358 / €1628

The 2024 version the 55S95D is on a VIP price of £1749 / €2198 and comes with a free HW-Q600C soundbar. (Sterling seems to be the better deal on this) (Comes with our VIP 6 year guarantee included free of charge on the TV).
Total for this and the TTAP would be £1808 / €2277 delivered.

You are free to pay in whichever currency work out to be the cheapest.

And the same question for the Samsung S95C 55 inch with the TTAP Swivel Table Top stand.

I know the Sony is said to be better, but not sure if the huge jump in price is worth it for the Sony. I just don't know if it's really that much better than the Samsung.

I know the Sony is definitely better for upscaling, but is it really THAT much better?

I'm also interested in sound quality and I believe the sound on the Sony is better than the Samsung, but again, is it really THAT much better when you consider the price difference?

I'm torn between the two TV's...

    Many thanks

    Hi Kenny

I know it's been a while since you replied, but is the VIP offer of the Samsung 55S95D with the free HW-Q600C soundbar still available?

    Many thanks.

    Hi 3rdDegree.

The free soundbar deal has been finished for a while now unfortunately.
On the 55S90D there is €110 cash back claimed directly via Samsung.

The current price on the 55S90D would be €1498 delivered and you can then claim the €110 back from Samsung.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the reply Kenny. I'm not really interested in the S90D, it was the S95D or the Sony, and the soundbar offer would have sealed the deal on the S95D. But I guess I should have made up my mind a bit quicker :)

    Thanks anyway!

    Hi 3rdDegree.
Apologies, I had read your post wrong.

The 55S95D is priced at £1579 and has a free soundbar (Q600C) with it.
To get the free soundbar you need to pay in sterling unfortunately but the cash back from Samsung will be paid in Euro as you are in the ROI.
On the TV you can claim back €220 direct with Samsung.

The free soundbar isn't listed on our .ie for some reason but does show on our .com site so no issue in offering it to you.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi 3rdDegree.

Just a little post to let you know if you are still interested in the 55S95D with free soundbar the Samsung cash back promo finishes this evening.

    Hi Kenny

Yes, I am interested. Do I just buy as normal on the web site and pay on sterling?

    Many thanks

    Hey 3rdDegree.

Yeah, if you go ahead and pay in sterling then I can add the free soundbar once the order is in.
You can use the link below but the order must be in before the end of the day to get the Samsung cash back.

You will then be able to claim back the €165 as you are in the South even though you will be paying in sterling.

Thanks Kenny. I've just put the order in. Really appreciate your help with this.

Please send me a PM if you need any of my personal details, such as real name, etc.

    Hey 3rdDegree.

    Thanks for the order.

I've managed to get the TV added to our collection for tomorrow and I've the soundbar ordered up from the warehouse and it will arrive in on Thursday.
Once it lands I'll send it our via DPD.

This way the TV still qualifies for the Samsung cash back and I have sent you a copy of the receipt for the claim.

    Hello Kenny

I've been looking into the cashback offer, and from what I can tell, it seems to have expired on the 2nd of July. Am I mistaken? These are the two Samsung links:

    https://www.samsungoffers.claims/sam/aicashback/en-GB
    https://www.samsungoffers.claims/sam/aicashback/en-IE

When I clicked on the link yesterday and today to claim, I get the message "Claim Form Closed".

    Many thanks.

    Hi Kenny and David,

I received the TV and soundbar last week and I'm delighted with both. Also used that link you gave me to apply for the cashback from Samsung. Thanks for all your excellent help (as usual). Really appreciate it.
