hi..my trusty plumber is looking at a job, but the house has modern crimp fittings..he doesn’t have the tool to suit, and has been told a decent one is e1000 plus.. seems the cheaper ones are iffy..understandbly he’s slow to spend on a once off job..can you lads recommend a cheaper option..or can they be rented?..im in north cork, thanks.

Some plumbers merchants will hire the press tool. Chadwick’s do I think.

Alternatively you can use multilayer adaptors together with standard compression fittings. No specialist tooling is needed for these, and it’s a satisfactory solution.
