Abandoned platform between Gormanston and Laytown stations

There is what looks to be an abandoned platform between Gormanston and Laytown stations. I usually only remember it when I get the commuter train up to Drogheda. That is a sign with a platform name on it but I can never make it out.

Does anyone know what the platform is called? Is there any history about it. When did it closed down, why did it closed down and are there any plans to reuse it?

I remember in the summers of 1997 and 1998, getting the train north from Connolly, and you would have loads of Dublin families, kids all excited, getting off at Mosney for their holidays. From the train you would see scads of kids making their way from the camp down to the beach with their inflatables, going under where the railway line passed over the path. Amazing it lasted that long. I guess Ryanair changed everything.

Well I think they went straight from it being a functioning holiday destination to being a reception centre for the asylum seekers. There wasn't a period in between where it was closed or anything.
