What's the story with this? It seems crazy that they would take out as many spaces as they have for the bus turning area and that enormous footpath. People are going back to the office more and more. Already you'll struggle for a space if you're not there early on Tuesday to Thursday and that will just get worse. I see in some Iarnrod eireann document that they recommend building a multistory car park to add another 150 spaces - but is there any movement on that whatsoever?

It was worse when they were building it as they had taken out more spaces. Once they finished it they added back in a row which wasn't too bad. That was last April just before the summer so it will be interesting to see how it works over the next few weeks.

I had complained last year about it along with the track construction equipment as they were parking over multiple spaces. They did mention the plan to build a multistory car park but that could be years away.

The bus seems to collect and drop off about 6 people each time I've seen it.

PS I noticed the construction equipment is back again this week.

Could never understand why they did not build a multistory car park on that site at Portmarnock station. How the hell is anyone from the likes of Kinsealy Woods, Coopers Wood, plus the various estates popping up on Kinsealy Lane supposed to get to the station?? No footpath to walk, no public transport… the car is the only option really.
