Anyone know a place for microwave spare/used part in Ireland

My microwave is in for repair, not heating but grill etc all working and the repair shop have diagnosed the Magnatron gone. Its out of warranty but was a pricey Miele unit and cost me about €1200 from new.

They've said that they can replace the Magnatron 'if they can find one' but no luck so far.

In fairness I've googled and can't find anything much in Ireland and postage from abroad is outrageous, plus shipping time.

Just wondered if anyone would know of a place I can try in Ireland that 'might' have this type of thing on the shelf ?

Nowhere will have it on the shelf, that model of parts supply ended in the 90s.

Only products common to multiple models and also common to fail will be in stock - seals, lights, door latches for microwaves.

Everything else comes from either the manufacturer or a very small number of third party warehouses.

Miele want €450 plus €38 delivery for a replacement and a three week wait, so not worth it.

It uses a 2M226 01GMT Megatron which is shared with LG, Sharp and Whirlpool (same frequency, wattage etc). The repair place manage to source one for another customer a few months back for less than €50 second hand tested 6 month warranty, but its just luck finding one, hence asking if anyone knows of a place that may repair as apparently smaller repair places do strip out parts for stuff that's not repaired.

    Amazon is your friend:

I wouldn't trust Amazom, the place is riddled with fakes and even buying from the retailers Amazon store doesn't stop you potentially getting a fake. Every bit of memory I got from Amazon was fake, I wouldn't put anything from Amazon in safety critical items

i recently got tap spares in the UK from a dealer on fleebay, we couldnt get the valves here, went to a few places. Gave up. Taps a few yrs old but reputable brand, rubber o rings had worn causing drips. its seems UK sellers are now including customs fees etc when you pay at check out fleebay, so worth looking over there too.

Its worth a €50 risk to me as the shop will fully test and verify before its used, they know their stuff
