Stuck between a rock and a Hard place

A while ago, I accepted an offer for the Medical Physics MSc at NUIG. But since accepting that offer, I have been having second thoughts on it. I mainly wanted to do research afterwards, but I didn't like the idea of working in a hospital either. There was also the issue with accommodation, since as of the writing of this post, I still haven't found a room and I have a week until I start this course.

Then this past weekend, I got another offer from UCD to do the GradDip in Physics there part time. I was contacting the coordinator to see if it is possible to move to the MSc in Physics if I do this and not only is it possible, but he stated that there was one case where a student was able to get into the MSc after doing 1 year of the GradDip.

I have already applied to SUSI for NUIG, but now I'm just incredibly stressed out with what to do. I live in Kildare, have family from Dublin with little room to spare. My things are already packed despite having no room to move to now. And my dad brought up the fact that it will cost us over 12 grand and another 10 grand if I go through with this.

UCD was my preference for years, and because of some personal stuff, my BSc results were 2.2 instead of the 2.1, so that's when I started applying else where. I did try Limerick, but their modules were just not appealing to me. All I had going for me for the Medical Physics was from my work placement in with the Medical Devices group at a Nanotechnology company.
