Patio Door install on concrete

    Hi all

    doing a garden room and installing a french door. I've an option of installing onto

    1. concrete
    2. stud

    Every uk based garden room (youtube) seem to use a upvc sill either directly on concrete or on the 2x4

    base however these don't seem to be standard in ireland (for example they are available on all uk window sites

    and screwfix uk but not ireland)

    What approach do diyers / window companies use as standard here?

    I can buy a sill in screwfix NI if needed but would happily skip if not required.

    Note that door will be flush on concrete pad and there is a drop then for drainage etc (water will run down vertically from door which is flush with end of slab

    Any advice appreciated
