Long story short but someone has their TV connected to my WiFi. Just wondering how I would go about blocking their mac address on a virgin router? I really don't want to have to change my wifis password

If someone unwelcome have key to your house, do you just stick note outside door: "do not come in" ?

As they have WiFi password , they might have access to router too. MAC filter does not prevent them to connect with other device(s)

See if you have options under advanced»security»mac filtering

    I would change passwords

It's a long story but basically myself and upstairs were sharing cost of broadband and they left a TV behind when they moved out. Bit of a pain having to change passwords as I've smart bulbs and other devices

The new ppl could get the password off the too possibly then. Even if it’s not likely I’d still change the password. I wouldn’t be so much worried about them freeloading on your wifi but more that they could access other devices on your network etc.

I know it’s a pain but 99% of smart devices will have no bother connecting on the 2.4ghz network so temporarily disable 5ghz network when setting up things like smart plugs, smart lights, printers etc.
