Checked Bag - Not sure what to do - Ground Worker Strike

Hi All,

In a bit of bother and would appreciate any advice. My family and I are due to fly to Rio via Lisbon with TAP on Sunday for a wedding. We have a carry-on bag each (4) and 1 checked bag for suits and bulky items. However, there is going to be a groundworkers strike this Saturday and Sunday meaning that TAP can't guarantee that the bag will arrive. The wedding isn't for a few days so I don't mind too much if the bag was delayed by a day or two - but I'm reluctant to take the risk. I rang TAP to see if they could give us an extra carry-on to compensate but they wouldn't. They offered to change our flight to Monday but we'd end up losing 2 days on the other side. We're only going for a bare week which is already tight enough.

Not sure what to do to be honest!
