Bit of a rant, but does anyone else think, for a long time, this band is absolute dirt? Comletely overrated? Some of their stuff in the 90's was good, but I've tried listening to In Rainbows several times, and everything since, and it's just rubbish. Being experimental and pushing your sound is fine, but I just find Radiohead pretentious and not half as clever as they think they are.

You then meet and hear their fans, and no matter what the conversation is, they try to shoehorn Radiohead in, because in their eyes, there's simply no band who is as clever and genius as Radiohead. I'm convinced most Radiohead fans don't like alot of their later stuff, but pretend to "get it" as it makes them feel superior. They can hear and see something "genius" the rest of us idiots can't. The band and their fans reek pretentious arrogance, I can't really stand them.

Blur's experimental Think Tank actually is genius imo, and the album Radiohead always wanted to make but weren't good enough to. Can't really stand anything about them these days, because in the 90's had some great stuff. But they've become obscure for obscures sake, believing their own hype that they are genius intellects, while in reality have been churning out rubbish for years

You may not personally like them, but when big artists like Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Kanye West, Muse, James Blake, frank Ocean, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, The Weeknd, Lorde, Alt-J etc are influenced by them, it’s difficult to argue against their talent and impact in the industry.
