Are these iron or steel gates? Galvanized?

Are these iron or steel gates? And do they look like they have been previously galvanized or is there a way to tell if they have been previously galvanized?

Steel.
They may be called wrought iron but the material is actually mild steel.
Iron is rarely seen except as cast iron.
Steel is an alloy of iron that is generally much tougher and less brittle.

Try and stick a magnet to them if it sticks they're steel.

They're mild steel. If you're looking to get a set made, just bring a picture to whoever is going to make them for you, and they'll be able to replicate them. These don't appear to be galvanised but they could be and painted black afterwards
