Mira Elite QT shower fault

Any advice, our Mira Elite QT stopped working mid use, and has since sounded like it is working as normal but no water is exiting the shower head!! I replaced the solenoid thinking that was it, it is still the same. The new solenoid on a test has 5ohm and the old one has 4ohm, so I can't see an issue with that. It sounds like the pump is working just not pushing water out! Any idea/ help would be a great help, please. I have a video of it but can't post here for some reason!!

Had similar issue with it . I think maybe it was to bleed the pump if not a solenoid issue

The poster sleeper12 will know he's an installer

    Possibly an airlock.

Remove the filter. Push your finger in. There is a button in there. If airlock you will get some air before water flows. Once you have water to this point you should get some flowing through the shower.

Thanks for the replies guys, no joy with that!! Water is passing through the filter release button, it does sound like the pump is engaging, it sounds as it normally does, maybe with a higher pitch sound, as if the pump is trying to pass water that is in there. If there is any other troubleshooting tips would be great. Could the little plunger that the solenoid moves be stuck, or would water pass out through the filter release if not? Only other thing I noted there was a good bit of black(soot) inside

Do you any water at all from the shower? Even a constant drip when powered on? Or is it bone dry all the time?

There are two parts to the solenoid. You replaced the coil. This is the part you would usually replace if no water.

The other part is the solenoid valve. This is usually needs replacing when water flow continues after shower is powered off. I have seen a few valves, in the mira elite qt, fail by not passing any water.

Water is passing to the shower head, although while the hose is attached no water can make it to the head, due to what seems to be no pressure! When I disconnect the hose a small amount of water passes out the outlet, when powered on, so I guess water is passing through! Is there a way of manually testing the solenoid valve?? As I say the pump seems to be whirling away!

Something similar happened a few months back, but it self recefied within a minute or so, like as if the water flow through the pump was restricted for a short while, then returned to normal, if that makes sense!

Very difficult to say for sure without being there but I'm thinking faulty motor or flow control valve.

So I just found the possible culprid, the pump elbow clip is broken, I reluctantly removed the case to try with power and behold a squirt of water out!! Off with the power and off i go to try source the part!! Hardly another issue, or would this cause the symptoms I'm experiencing??

It depends on how much water was coming out of the faulty pump elbow. I'd expect enough water to leak that it would be very noticeable running out the bottom of the shower. It's very likely that this leak shorted out the original solenoid coil.

Funny thing about it is, the shower is now working normally, as in pumping water out of the hose, there was no water leaking out of the housing initially, and inside was dry, but while I had the front cover off i ran it for about 10 seconds, and it sounded as if there was air passing the pump, it worked as it should but then there was a squirt of water out of the elbow clamp!!

Very strange, I will replace the elbow and clamps and see how it runs then!

Also check the obvious like the CWSC "full" of water and any isolating valves on the supply to the shower fully open. Check these by fully shutting, then fully reopening them.
