Is there such as a 1 day hop on hop off ticket for the dart these days? I can’t find one online but I'm sure there used to be.

It would be for a day trip on/off the dart multiple times

There used to be but fare capping has replaced it I think?

You shouldn't pay more than €7.60 if you use the Dart multiple times in the day with a Leap card?

there are 2 leap fares that replace it

daily cap = 7.60 (adult) and TFI 90 is €2 across all transport.

daily cap would simple mean you tag on each time you access the station and the cost is zero once you hit 7.60 for that day.

If you don't want to invest in a normal LEAP card, you can also get a LEAP Visitor card for EUR 8.00 that covers 24 hours unlimited travel on bus, train & LUAS in the Short Hop Zone.

It's available online at https://about.leapcard.ie/leap-visitor-card and there is information there about the different time periods available.

It's also on sale at the outlets below.

Isn't the TFI90 time limited.90 minutes to expiry of the pass from tapping card on the first journey

    yes - correct.

there is scenario where you could use it up to 3 times in a day and only spend 6 euro - cheaper than the daily cap.

Important to note that you have 90 minutes to start the final journey from tapping on the first journey. So you could take a 30 minute trip, spend nearly and hour out and about and start your return journey just as the 90 minutes approach.
