VW, Two Thermostats

    I have a 2019 petrol Polo (non turbo) has two thermostats which seems to be the norm in all the models now, one, in the main cooling circuit (sometimes called the Outer Circuit) openes at 87C, the second stat in the "small circuit" (Inner Circuit) seems to open at 97C, what cooling circuits do they control?
