It's been a long since I last taught the LC History hons course. I am more familiar with OL. I have some questions that I would like to ask and if you feel you might have an answer or advice that'd be appreciated. Here's the first of them.

I have read a student should write X number of pages/paragraphs or whatever can be written in 40 minutes or so but speed and size of writing varies. Six pages of big handwriting could be the same as three pages of small writing.

So what do you tell your students about the length of an essay in terms of word length?

    Thanks.
