LED H7 bulbs showing error messages in car

I bought a set of Philips Ultinon-Access H7 LED bulbs to freshen up my mk7.5 golf from the old yellow halogens. They worked fine for a day but now everytime I turn on the car I get error message on the display in the car to check the left and right dipped beams. I have got out of the car and checked and the lights are working fine.

I'm assuming it's because the factory settings have detected that the bulbs are a different voltage?

Here are the Bulbs on Amazon

Are the messages annoying you as much as your retrofit lasers are annoying incoming drivers?

    They're road legal. Try harder.

Not sure about Golf's in particular but on other cars they may need to be coded in.

I put a set of Novsight LED's into my Z4 about a year ago with no problem.

The Saab 9-3 has had another Osram Nightbreaker failure (and the beam is dangerously bad for night driving) so I'm looking at Novsight LED's this week when I return home.

Have them, just need to install and hope it does not trouble.

Sometimes, different bulbs and bulb types give CanBus errors that may be coded out.

Yes you need to change the adaptations to led bulbs using vcds or similar, the car is looking for halogen resistance levels for the bulb check right now

Where do I go to get them coded out. Any garage?

You didn't mention where you are.

Check on Facebook for your local area or ask on the VW Facebook Ireland forums.

Search for any local VW independents and give them a call.
