Constant Upper left abdomen pain

I'm a 41F. For about 2 months I have had a gnawing pain under my left rib and sometimes it radiates into my back. I have had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago and I was diagnosed with Ibs back in 2018.

I was sent to A&E a month ago because I have history of a PE several years ago so they wanted to rule one out. I had chest x-ray and CT scan done. All bloods came back normal, even my lipase levels were 32 so they ruled out pancreatitis. Thankfully no PE either.

I was sent home with a few weeks supply of esomeprazole thinking it's GI related. The tablets have done nothing. I'm still in pain. It can wake me up during the night. There's no difference weather I eat or don't eat. I'm at a loss and worried it's something more serious that the ER has missed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Back to your GP for some kind of specialist referral.
