Those two cars are in a different class.

Consider putting the diesel Focus ST up against the GTD and the gap in refinement and comfort is much smaller.

Fiesta ST though will put the biggest smile on your face.

Personally I feel diesel cars only party trick is impressive torque, that feeling of being pulled back into your seat as you accelerate.

But to actually drive on the road, it's the Fiesta for me.

Fiesta is one of the most fun cars I’ve ever driven.

Another vote for the Fiesta, was so close to buying a new one 3 years and often wish I had pulled the trigger. I've had similarly small cars and tbh you just get used to it after a short while.

I owned 2 Fiesta ST. Great cars, good fun, very zippy, surprisingly economical if driven that way, and well able for longer trips.

Yes the ride is quite firm, but it's a hot hatch.

Be careful buying a used one because it may have lived a tough life. Get a data check and look for a PROPER service history.
