Godox GM55 touch screen on screen monitor

Recently purchased a Godox GM55 to mount on my Nikon D7000. It won't connect properly and show the live image, it just shows 'Play' and 'Slideshow' options where I can scroll through saved images on my camera. Have checked connections and watched more than a few tutorials. I'm stumped. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have either device but take a look in your HDMI settings on the D7000, and make sure "Device Control" is set to "Off"
