E-Visa to India has wrong dates, can I enter?

    Hey folks,

First time using this website so apologies if I'm not using the forum correctly.

    My question is:

I've recently applied for an E-Visa to go to Southern India for a friends wedding, it is granted. There was what I assume is a system error as I input 10th - 25th September but I received the dates 14th August (date it was granted) to 13th September.

The government won't reply via email on if I can enter & stay for my original applied time with this, or if I need to / can reapply while current visa is live, or if once I enter on 11th September and they stamp it the visa if it is from that date the 30 days are viable.

Anyone have any experience or help to give for the situation?

Thanking you kindly for any assistance,

    Edel M

A visa to any country is only valid for the time period stated on the visa.

You could confirm with the embassy but I think it's OK. The document with the QR code is your entry visa, and you just have to arrive while it's valid (which you will). Then, on arrival, they stamp a permit to stay for 30 days into your passport (so your passport will say "Depart before 10 October" and you'll be finished with the QR).
