Overseas GUI

Anybody know if an overseas GUI is any different from standard GUI? Can a club tell it is for an overseas membership?

In Golf Ireland the club you join will assign you as an overseas member in Golf Ireland (so that the club is not charged an GI fee for you), but I am fairly sure that other clubs don't get to see this information.
