    Hi

for a teenager who is on the second bout of illness in six weeks with elevated liver enzymes reading. Could it be glandular fever. The first time the reading was 500 and this time just over 1000. All tests have comeback clear. Awaiting comprehensive tests for things like hepatitis. Etc Not a drinker of significance. Someone told me an ultrasound would potential highlight an enflamed liver

    Thx

Sorry you're dealing with this, it's worrying when your kid is not well. Glandular fever could be the culprit if they've tested positive. Make sure the doctor checks for autoimmune disorders such as autoimmune Hepatitis/Sjogren's syndrome etc. Hope he/she feels better soon
