Any Apache Kafka users? KafkaTopical review

Hi folks — we've built a (free) native Windows / macOS / Linux application Kafka UI, here in Dublin! KafkaTopical differentiates itself from others in that there's no back-end or complex config required, etc., nor cost — all that's needed is a direct line-of-sight to a Kafka cluster.

    Get it here: https://www.kafkatopical.com/download

You can browse / search topics, messages, and manage topics and produce messages, see all consumers, their offsets, schemas, broker settings, etc. — if that's your thing. It's fast, informative and native and portable. If you're an engineer who just uses Kafka, it can be a pain to peer into a Kafka cluster and perform any troubleshooting, and this helps with that. Similarly if you're an admin, sometimes it can be a pain to go through hoops to do or see something such as creating a topic or checking Kafka log file size, etc.

Although already very capable, it's still very new and will be fleshed out with more features in-time, based on our roadmap and somewhat directed by users' feedback. If you use Kafka, we'd love to hear about your feedback / ideas or any bugs.

For correctness sake: this application has been renamed to KafkIO (Apache doesn't like third-parties using "Kafka" in the name of software).

The application matured quite a bit since the initial post. Any Kafka users, please feel free to check it out: https://kafkio.com
