Looking for design ideas for laying sandstone tiles in 3 different sizes.

I have an equal amount for each size and are being layed on a 17ft x 17ft patio.

    Sizes are: ( all in cm's )

    60 x 90

    60 x 60

    60 x 30

    Appreciate your help and ideas

It's easy enough once you start. Few rules

    Only T joints, no crossroads.

Change orientation of rectangular slabs if they are beside each other , if possible.

Mix well, Avoid having too many of same size in close proximity.

If you sre cutting to fit in against a wall or similar, no thin slivers, eg if distance is 63cm, don't use a 60cm and cut the 3cm. Cut from the 90cm..

It's kinda like th snooker players build a break, be thinking a few slabs ahead.

    Hope this makes sense.

Feel free to ask any questions you have

Another tip here - Before starting, lay out a small section to see how the pattern looks and ensure you’re happy with the design.

Another one, try to avoid long jointing lines.

It's possible there are more natural-looking horizontal layouts, but not in a spreadsheet 😃

Regardless, I think you have to put them in "lanes" because of the joint thickness.
