Recommendations for Piston Ring Replacement

Looking for reasonable Garage recommendations for Piston Ring Replacements in Dublin/Leinster. Bought a 2012 Honda Insight that burning oil and probably going to need to bite the bullet and get it repaired.

You could try IVI engines in Walkinstown. Piston ring replacement will require a full engine rebuild, might as well do main and small end bearings with a rehone while you are at it. It wont be cheap for a full rebuild as a lot of labour in the job.

Would probably be cheaper to get an engine from Kilkock Car Dismantlers. Or try using a thicker oil. Using a thicker oil or an oil stabiliser. Helped a lot with my Dads Prius burning oil.

You sure it's the rings? Valve stem oil seals most likely gone.

This model has issues with Piston Rings so thats the likely failure point I think!

Recall on these for Piston rings. A good indy will get away with just doing new pistons , rings and maybe 1 valve.

Ive been in touch with the OP and the extension on his one was up in 2022. Sent him on a few decent indys that have done the work for me before.
