    Travelling as family of 5

It would be for one night

Any recommendations from people who have stayed in AMS - looking to show the kids the museums etc.

    Thanks again

AirbNB is not legal really in Amsterdam unless tourist license. I booked cheap flights to Amsterdam for family of 5 (teenagers at the time) and then realised how expensive hotels were! We were staying for 3 nights though.

I did find an AirBNB with tourist license in an area of Jordaan about 15 min walking from city center, Dam Square etc (nice walk but cyclists are lethal and no mercy!) But bit was still 450e a night, definitely cheaper than hotels. Might be worth thinking about somewhere on train line 15-20 mins out as alternative as hotels were astronomical (300e a night!) and we couldn’t make it work with hotels and cost.
