Help to buy scheme LTV >70%?

    Hey,

    We have been told that we won't qualify for the help to buy because our LTV is 68% and it needs to be at least 70%. Is there any way around this?

    Can you not put less savings in and take out a slightly bigger loan?

    We've got the max loan we can get at 4x salary. The mortgage advisor told us if we were to get more than the 4x salary to meet the LTV for the HTB that we wouldn't qualify for HTB. I haven't seen anything to suggest this but that's what the mortgage advisor told us.
