Online threats - where to report?

Today i was dealing with a person regarding purchasing something off Facebook marketplace. After talking with him, he mentioned he was from a different city and i told him therefore i can't go ahead with the deal. He then asked me to pay for postage through paypal and i refused. At this point this guy seemed to get angry and started making threats of coming up to my home and smashing my windows and other racist nonsense to which point i blocked him.

Should i be reporting this to Garda or some other authority? I'm sure this is some sort of scam and these were just empty threats trying to intimidate people to pay money so not sure if i should just ignore and move on or go ahead and report this incident?
