    Weird one…
    Here's my drive layout:

    image.png

I have an issue with E:. It says there is 591GB free, indicating that there is 340GB used.
However when I go into E: there is just one folder (Videos) and its just 45.9GB

So where has the other 300GB gone? (have show hidden files and folders turned on)

    image.png

That disk is partitioned into two: (E: and R:) R is for backups

I'm guessing windows System Image/Backups is doing something weird to the entire Disk as opposed to just the partition and is using up way more space than is being show on the partition.

Any way to get more info on it? (thinking on just buying another SSD)

    Where your G drive stored?
    Any hidden folders?
Did you deleted significant amount of data on this partition? Have you checked recycle bin?

    get treesize free or foldersizes

Backups would be better on dedicated drive
