Vodafone Gigabox issues, replace with?

Vodafone customer, Navan, contracted to end 2024 but with them since July 2022. Broadband gigabox is duffed since a power outage hit Monday night, with only landline working and minimal to zero devices working now despite all day updating firmware etc before they relented and agreed to a new gigabox installation Friday.

I never realised how many devices we had connected but we couldn’t get any laptops working, fire sticks and google clocks, hubs and iPads today.

So Friday is gigabox no2. Now I’m not a techno fobe and consider myself somewhat technically proficient, if everything works out Friday will fitting an anti surge adapter avoid power outage damage to the gigabox?

Given at some point today, some devices connected, after forgetting the network and rejoining, most didn’t, what better router system will Vodafone allow me install if I have issues. I hear mesh and bridge systems banded about but don’t know what they are.

my system needs, which the old gigabox provided, are:

1, wireless to 3 laptops, 3 iPads, 3 phones, a Roku, a Fire stick and 3 Lenovo clocks and a google nest hub

    2. Cat 6 wired cable to a studio and a tp link splitter to feed 1 smart tv, a net gear wireless extender, a hive and a fire stick.

I need a more resilient system

    Any suggestions are appreciated
