Treatment Plant Problem

    Hi there

We built our house 17 years ago and installed a treatment plant. It has been trouble free until a few months ago and now we have sewerage in our garden. It seems to be around the secondary tank area. We got the main tank emptied but that achieved nothing really. Someone I asked thinks the small pipes from the secondary tank might be blocked. Not sure what type of tradesperson/company could help us out with this one. Keen to get it sorted asap. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Possibly. Was that the first time it was emptied?

Any of the firms that specialise in septic tank maintenance should be able to do a survey of the percolation and see what has gone wrong.

    What part of the country?

    Thanks Lenar3556

Yes that was the first time emptied. We're in Co Kilkenny,

Will google some of those companies.

    Thanks again.

Treatment plant company's would usually send jobs like that my husband's way after they are called out to empty if there's an issue still after they have emptied tank, It's usually the drains going from house to plant/septictank where pipes have sunk due to non sufficient stone under pipes causing them to crack and slip away from original connection.

You really should have an annual empty though.

Look for a groundworks company that does pipework drainage etc. they'll be able to pinpoint without having to dig up the whole garden.
