Gherkin plant not producing fruit.

    I have been growing cucumbers for the last few years and have had tremendous success. This year I tried gherkins as they would be similar to cucumbers. I just have one plant which is now about 7ft in length. It's got loads of flowers but no fruits developing. I've hand pollinated and lots of bees are seen on the flowers. It's in a greenhouse and looks very healthy. Cannot understand why it's its just flowers and no fruit developing. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks
