Sounds good but my immediate thought on seeing the name was that it was somehow a Get Smart reboot or maybe a comedy centred on the bad guys from that show.

Just watched the first episode without knowing much about it at all but must say it was very good.

It's very inventive, although in a fantasy setting, a Dr Who type reset seems a possibility and doubt about whether anyone really 'dies' I'm not clear on the stakes but it is a fun ride.

Some Irish in the cast… that's Killian Scott as Orpheus, and he actually does the vocals for song at the concert.
    Stanley Townsend as Minos.

I love this show, it reminds me of American Gods and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet

I enjoy the conceit of setting the myths in "modern day" - because really when the myths were originally written down I don't think they were necessarily set in the distant past of those who wrote them, so the modern setting makes them more relatable.

All of the stories presented are retellings of actual Greek myths, which is great.

Going by your username (assuming it's from Norse mythology and not Game Of Thrones), you might like The Almighty Johnsons, set in modern day New Zealand with Norse gods. Sort of…

Best series of 2024? Certainly has to be up there: cast, writing, photography. Really enjoyed it and hope there's more of the same quality to come.

I saw this on Yahoo summarising a recent Deadline interview:

At the time of this writing, Netflix has not officially renewed Kaos for a second season. However, the series is not officially axed either. Series creator Charlie Covell, who previously helmed Netflix’s The End of the F***ing World, has expressed an interest in proceeding with a three-season arc, and has called the streamer “very supportive” of this idea. For now, renewing the series seems like a no-brainer, as Kaos has brought in tons of watch hours from viewers around the world, and received stellar reviews from many critics.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Covell explained, “There’s definitely more. I also didn’t want to do an ending that was a total cliffhanger. I hope that it feels satisfying as a season one in its own right, and there’s always hope for the more. Because I really would love to do more and work with those actors and that team. It was a bit of a dream come true.”

5 episode down and really enjoying this. Great cast and excellent music even though the plot is mad are making this an excellent watch.

Fúcks sake. It was set up for a second season

A damnable shame that's cancelled. Clever and amusing anachronistic telling of the Greek pantheon's personalistic yet bureacratic system of rule, with a very clever take on the immortal/mortal relationship. Cries out for a follow-up to chart Prometheus' plan.

very disappointing news. I really enjoyed Kaos and first thing in a while that I really felt compelled to watch and look forward to second season. That’s a shame.

That's a crying shame! One of the best things I've watched in a while - obviously the viewer numbers not enough to allow a second season. Goldbum was excellent in this.
