    Hi

We're in a new build and we've a steeltech shed with ducting running to it from the house (~10-15m) but it's not wired; any idea of what it would cost to wire to a new fuse board in the shed and install a light & socket?

    Thanks

Hi, if the installation of the cable from the duct to the consumer unit is straight forward then I'd guess probably in the ballpark of 500 EUR (excluding materials) as it would be a 3 hour job, roughly. Materials might be 200 as the cable would be around 50 EUR for that run.

Not a chance 3 hrs for 1 man shed and wiring at board

You simply can't work that fast unless it's a slap and dash

You've time taken for tools etc in and out

SWA to be connected at main board , usually some work involved in this

    Board at shed end

    Wiring of shed

    Testing and paperwork

I'm semi retired ex rec so not sure

Just noticed it's only ducted so SWA has to be drawn in too

Guts of a day thereabouts presumably so probably c 1k labour and certification i assume

For the love of God don't use a Garo board.

Low quality muck, they should be banned. Spend a bit extra and get a Hager, you won't regret it.
