Can you unlock phone with a broken screen.

Dropped my galaxy note (Vodafone) , screen has gone black with occasional flashes but digitizer still works as does the rest of the phone. I've ordered a screen service kit as I would have the skill set to repair it myself. When I connect usb of a dell dock into the phone I can input text via the keyboard and open apps and navigate using digitizer and pc screen. I put the sim in an old phone for calls but need to use Galaxy for banking apps etc as I use fingerprint and verifyer for that and for some business apps. This worked fine as my phone still worked for everything except calls. Unfortunately I let the battery go flat and when I charge it back up its locked. Instead of seeing the phone screen on my monitor I see the phone time, date and a closed padlock symbol. This is a big problem, I need to access my banking and accounting app urgently, my old phone cannot take the latest version of the apps so I urgently need to unlock the Galaxy. If I can get phone out of locked state my password and fingerprint will still work for apps. Any ideas?

You may be able to unlock it if you get a USB connector to usb c and connect a standard USB mouse

Or use a Bluetooth mouse if Bluetooth is on .could you not buy another phone and just use that to access your bank account ?

I used a USB mouse on my phone years ago as the screen was cracked

Docking station, mini hub all work and view phone. The problem is unlocking the phone, how do I do that?

Attach something like a port replicator / docking station that connects via usb c, then use your left mouse button on a mouse held down and sweep up. I think that'll do it.

Cheers all, Punched my password into keyboard of docking station and phone unlocked. Effectively everything works execpt screen. Worth remembering.
