Can Christianity accept the "gendered soul"?

It's everywhere, from the HSE to the NHS, from the Gardai to the Dail, from schools to hospitals, to government legislation, and yet it hasn't entered the house of God just yet (large scale), or has it?

I'm talking about the gendered soul as described by author Andrew Doyle in his book the New Puritans, the theory being that in our new world of transgenderism people are "assigned" a sex and gender at birth that may not correspond to their actual sex & gender, hence they have been born into & "assigned" the wrong body!

But where does Christianity sit with this teaching, and how might the two belief systems coexist in the coming years?

Christ Church Cathedral Dublin recently hosted a Pride Month celebration, with the Cathedral flying the Trans Progress flag outside, whilst the inside of the cathedral was bedecked with trans & pride flags. Ex President Mary McAleese gave the address from the pulpit ……

So I'm wondering, apart from this one off event in an Irish cathedral, has there been or will there be other occassions in Ireland when the non Christian belief system as mentioned above is acknowledged in prayer & teaching within Christianity?

    2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

You would first have to define what you mean by the Christian church. There are over 2 billion self proclaiming Christians in the world belonging to various different denominations.

    In Matthew 7:21, Jesus said

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

    In John 3:3 Jesue said

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

What does it mean to be born again?

Is it being sprinkled with water as a baby? Is confirming this as a preteen?

    The subsequent verses explain it.

It’s dying to your old sinful self that went its own way and being born again, with the Holy Spirit living inside of you convicting you of any sin and guiding you on paths of righteousness.

Unfortunately most of the people who proclaim Christianity aren’t followers of Jesus Christ, Jesus said in Matthew 7:14

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Jesus also warned of deception coming after that in Matthew 7:15

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

Peter echoes that in 2 Peter 2:1-2

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

We are also warned about a great Apostasy or falling away (from biblical truth) in the last days

    2 Thessalonians 2

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,”

In summary, we can fully expect the main stream “churches” to adapt to the world and its beliefs, they love the world

    1 John 2:15

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

The true Church ( Church means believers or Called out ones or dedicated to the Lord) will be persecuted more and more as we approach the end just as Gods word states and as the world moves further away from truth, they will hate the true Church all the more. The true Church is not a denomination, it’s simply believers in Jesus Christ. The word Christ is worth delving into, the anointed one, the messiah, the saviour, our Lord, If Jesus is our Lord then we obey him, if he is our saviour than we know we need saving.
    Many believe in Jesus Christ:

    James 2:19

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

But how many pick up their cross and follow him?
Most of the world is deceived into a false sense of salvation.

    God Bless
