Loose bathroom taps

    Hi all,

    Both taps in upstairs bathroom are loose, or possibly broken? They both twist at the same point on hot and cold, when they turn the qualpex below turns with them. Both turn about 60° each direction

    Is it likely they're fecked, or a pipe grips from underneath would do the job?

    I've to get the boiler serviced in the next couple of months so if needs be I can ask the plumber to take a look, but was hoping to sort it myself.

    If they need to be swapped is it a big job? I was a sparks many moons ago and always steered away from anything water related 😂

    I would say they only need to be tightened, the older type tap are better than the new ones out now as you need to use flexi pipes and the flow is very poor, I have this problem.

    Thanks Dig all!

    @10-10-20 legend! Love boards! 😂

    Took a bit of messing, and some WD40 to loosen the nuts, but I'm pretty sure I have it sorted. If not I'll clean the threads a bit and go again but it's far better than it was, every time we turned the taps on or off they were left arse ways and it looked dreadful. I was also afraid all the movement would lead to the pipes loosening, and that'd be a right pain.
