Hi guys heading to Spain in September and looking to hire a car. I'm 34 years old but have only held my full licence since last November which seems as though it may be a bit of a problem considering they stipulate you must have it 12 months. Are they strict on this or would there be any leeway at all?

I doubt they are. You could just say that your old expired and that’s newly issued.

    I always recommend DoYouSpain.com

Always the cheaper at booking site

Yeah that was my plan was just worried they might be able to check it.

Thanks for the recommendation that's much cheaper than what i was looking at

The date of 1st issue is on your licence and it's a standard EU format so any hire company will be able to read that you don't have the licence long enough.

Contact some of the hire companies directly, my son hired a car in Italy a few years ago aged 18 with a full license he got 6 months previous
