Eir FTTH: Smart DNS Proxy wont resolve properly on F3000

My network is set up to use Smart DNS Proxy servers. Since installing an F3000, I can't get the devices to connect properly to these servers. I'm suspecting that the F3000 is interfering with the clients' DNS requests as they pass through on the way to the internet. Is that likely?
