Repairing Leki walking pole

I have an old Leki Grindelwald walking pole, see picture below. The middle piece screws into the back piece fine. But there is nowhere in the middle piece for the piece at the front - circled - to screw into. I am wondering if an insert slipped out of the middle section perhaps. Can it be repaired? Many thanks.
