Passing multiple Cat6 cables through external cavity wall via waterproof "box"

I need to pass 11 outdoor rated cat6 cables through a single point (core drilled hole) in an external cavity wall. I had thought that something like a wiska box would work whereby i could use glands to bring each individual cable into the box and then route them all out the back of the box via pvc pipe/conduit through the wall to the inside of the building. However I can't seem to find the equivilent box which would take 11 cable glands which would be located on the bottom or sides of the box. I had steered away from top entry as i dont want to encourage any water entry from above over time.

I dont want to use those "Roman Nose" cover plates as i dont think they would accomadate that many cables and the external wall is pebbledash

Does anyone have any suggestions/words of wisdom as to how I could go about this?

    Hi!

You might be best off bunching them into groups of 5 and then 6 and wrapping each bunch in good quality electrical tape to make one straight solid wire, then passing one of the bunches through a PVC pipe inset in the wall at an angle. Then backfill the ends with caulk (as it's easy to remove in one lump), that should stop any air ingress.

You'll then have two PVC pipes with 5 cables in one and 6 in the other. Install a third PVC pipe then in the wall for future use.

    Examples of piping to use:

    Solid round pipe through wall

    All cables fed through pipe

Round hole in back of adaptable box mounted on exterior wall

Seal around pipe entry into back of box

Pipe cables from adaptable box to destination and seal entry point again .Or you can use a compression gland on pipe from adaptable box if available

Tbh I'm not really getting the complexity here or am I missing something ?

No issue with getting through the wall - the original question was more related to the distribution box that the pipe (of which would have been coming out horizontal) would rear enter into which would sit on the outside wall of which i would then need to distribute 11 cables from. Initially i had been looking at Wiska boxes as these had pre cut holes to attach compression glands to but i couldnt find one that was large enough to accomodate 11 glands on the bottom/sides of.

I've since come across compression glands that can accomodate 4 x 6mm cables each which makes things much easier now as i can buy a generic IP rated box and just cut holes in 3 places on the bottom of a suitably sized box for them and a larger rear entry hole for the pipe coming out of the wall

You're distributing 11 cables from the underside of an external box ?

So you pipe into an adequately sized adaptable box( they come in various large sizes) and distribute using compression glands

How are all these cables being distributed when they leave the external box. I'm 30 yrs in the game but finding it hard to grasp this.

yes - cables are for PoE IP cameras at various locations around the building (different heights also). The cables cannot all be routed via the same path or i would have just used conduit and branched out of that as I went. They will be pinned to the wall under various decotarive sills/lintels

My main concern was bringing the cables out of the 'adaptable box' not how they were routed after the fact. I think im sorted now though. The compression glands which can take 4 cables each have significantly reduced the size of box i require.

Ok I see looks like your sorted anyhow
