Planning to link a Tenda AC23 AC2100 Router to Vodafone Gigabox (VOX30R1) in Bridge Mode

I have fibre to the home and a strong WiFi signal right around the house.

Recently I have had a lot of issues with a my smart home lighting and motion sensors. The system had been extremely stable, but suddenly, out of the blue, all the systems started to have issues. I contacted Vodafone who said that I needed a new modem and sent out a technician with a new unit. Things settled down straight away and for the next 4/6 weeks all was good. Then without warning, problems started up again.

For some reason, only 2 to 3 devices are showing as being connected to the Gigabox, although 'ARP -A' in the DOS Terminal lists about 10 devices. Previously, 22 devices used to be listed in the modem.

I am wondering if I was to put the Gigabox in to Bridge Mode and connected a Tenda AC23 AC2100; would I potentially have a cure to my smart home issues? I am hoping that adding the separate router, the DHCP will then be handled by the router; and therefore all the devices will be assured of a connection to the system.

    Are my assumptions correct?

Many thanks for any help received.
