5-series, 2015, F11 Due to a leak into the battery compartment, the control unit for the swiveling hitch is fried. I can get a replacement (original BMW part) from a supplier in Germany and it's a straightforward job to fit it but will I need to go to a main stealer to have it coded in and have the errors cleared? Due to a leak into the battery compartment, the control unit for the swiveling hitch is fried. I can get a replacement (original BMW part) from a supplier in Germany and it's a straightforward job to fit it but will I need to go to a main stealer to have it coded in and have the errors cleared?
As well as the towbar error, an airbag error is also showing, presumably it's on the CAN bus
