Hi all, got call yesterday and have an inspection this am, wasn't available Wednesday.

Wasn't Told what would be inspected, rang them back for the names of who was calling out and was told have the medicines book with me no need for cattle.

Of course I haven't been filling since board bia inspection but wouldn't have that much anyway.

I'm thinking nitrates, as I out winter some lighter animals, caught for shed space.

    Best of luck with it.

Like most of us, I'd say there might be some small bits and pieces to do, but overall you'll be grand.

    How did the inspection go?

Good over all, measure shed and tank. Walk a couple fields. Check medicines, filled that out with entries since bia audit.

Have a fert and feed form to fill.for 2024.

Rented ground might have had issue back along but only put that in this year, so for the land owner before hand.

They were very helpful actually. Answering questions away for me.

Most of my small setup is online so seems to make it easier for both them and I.

    Good experience overall.

Good to hear, a bit like dealing with Revenue they are usually fine

Sounds like a full cross compliance. Im Surprised they didn't walk whole place and count every ainmal and scan every blue card.

Sounds like you got an easy going inspector. I've yet to meet or hear of one of them where I'm from.

Do you have to fill in the book if you keep all on excel (treatments and meal purchase)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,006 ✭✭✭tellmeabit

No, if u keep the same headings you can store on excel sheets
