Hopes it could be used in the future as a lonar base for Astranauts. How was this never spotted before? Two Italian scientists found it with radar. They calculate that the hole is 170 meters deep and 100meters wide. Possibility of tunnels extending out from it.

I have been in lava tunnels in the canaries and they are impressive…would love to see what the ones look like on the moon.
