Steam Link Question

Hi. My gaming pc is in a different room to my TV. I want to stream games from pc to tv using Steam Link and Nvidia shield pro. Can I use a Bluetooth controller to play seeing as the pc is in a different room? Also will game sounds come from TV? Any info much appreciated.

Do you not mean steam in home streaming?

Install the steam app from the google store, enable streaming on your main pc and link it to your shield - think you might need a one time code.

You connect the controller to the shield (or use the shield controller) and that should be all you need to do.

Sound will come from the shield and whatever TV thats connected to.

This is exactly what steam link app is for. Controller and sound all goes through the shield.

You might check for the old physical steam link it was much better and had actual ports too.

It would but you have to sideload the app on a fire stick and then use a bluetooth controller.

Thanks for info. I'm just on verge of spending 220 on Shield pro but the only reason is because I want to stream my steam games from pc which is in the other room. I have the new firestick 4k max 16gb. So if I sideload Steam Link app and hook everything together with ethernet cables your saying it would work just as good as Shield????? Think you might of saved me wasting money

Yep it should all work fine with the firestick. Just make sure you get the latest version of the steam link app.
